Parliamentarians have compulsions that they can’t make 498A bailable ( and Supreme Court won’t do it on their own). All these b’cos of feminists campaign that don’t throw baby with the bath water. Ok, don’t throw any thing but do add few things, which will make it more balanced and more humane.
First and foremost is if in due couse a case is found false (was filed just to harass husband’s family) then the wife and their family should be liable to face the same punishment i.e. 3 years of jail. It will make people to think twice before filing false cases.
Second add 498B where husband can also file charges of mental and physical harassment against wife and their family.
